Dan’s childhood days were spent in agricultural school (Future Farmers of America, FFA) on the East coast. When his family moved to San Diego he entered the field of commercial construction as a Journeyman Carpenter. Finishing a B.A. at San Diego State University, he accepted the position of Assistant Registrar and Admissions Officer at the University of California San Diego. He later accepted the position of Director of Admissions at California Western to Assistant Director Special Units U.S. Department of State in Washington D.C. He was recruited when he spent a year after which he graduated from Northrop University School of Law with a Doctorate in 1981. He joined the firm of Leach, Biesty, & McGreevy here in Los Angeles and some 3 years later he became partner – transforming the firm into Biesty, Nelson, McCool & Garrety, an Insurance Defense firm. It was here he acquired extensive knowledge of the Personal Injury practice defending as many as 25 major Insurance companies. Dan was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990, California State Court in 1990, U.S. District Court in 1991. He has been Commissioner for the State Bar of California. He has also been a member of the California Trial Lawyers Association since the mid-1990s as well as the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association and the Los Angeles County Bar.

Silvio left Chicago and the family construction business in the late 1970s and pursued a degree in finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign – which he finished in 1981. Shortly after, he decided to attend the Southwestern School of Law in California and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the school’s exclusive SCALE special 2-year advanced law program in 1984.
Silvio was immediately hired by the law firm of Madeiras & Grimm, handling the majority of their court appearances. In 1986, Silvio was admitted to the California State Bar. In addition, Silvio was admitted to the U.S. District Court of California in 1995 as well as the U.S. Central District Court in 1998. Silvio went on to display his outstanding litigation skills as an attorney in the law offices of Biesty, Nelson, McCool & Garrety, after which time Silvio joined Dan as partner of Nelson & Natale, devoting his career to representing injured victims against Insurance carriers. Silvio loves the courtroom and is well respected by justices throughout Southern California. A skilled trial lawyer, Silvio knows the personal injury industry inside and out, and is never reluctant to enter a fierce legal battle in order to protect his clients’ interests. He continues

Israel began his public service career in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and worked as an EMT Paramedic. Specifically for the Mobile CAT Scanning field for some 12 years. He joined the Los Angeles Police Department, as a sworn officer for 7 years. He entered Hotel Management as a Security Supervisor, at which he handled day to day Hotel Operations at the “Lowe’s Santa Monica.” He acquired A.B.A. certification as a Litigation Paralegal from UCLA extension. For some 15 years Israel has functioned as a Senior Paralegal. He assists in Trial preparation and all other court appearances as well as the coordination of Settlement Conferences.

Misty, a senior Law Clerk, has been with the Firm for over 14 years in charge of both the Firm’s “Calendar” and also the “Discovery” Department. Previously she worked as a Medical Office Manager before coming to Nelson & Natale. She coincidently met with N&N staff on an unrelated matter some 14 years ago. Prior to resigning her then current position she was hired on the spot which turned out to be fortuitous for the Firm. Utilizing her many talents and comprehensive skills, she tracks and manages all of the Firm’s Court Appearances, Hearings and Depositions.

As a Legal Assistant with over 14 years of management experience, Jeannie Kim heads the Administrative Unit and works directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts. Her years of experience include skills in the areas of General Litigation and Small Claims. In addition, Jeannie also provides administrative support for Payroll and general office matters.

Claudia is Nelson & Natale’s Account Manager. She began working in the Business arena at the age of 17. Her experience in a variety of fields including the Print Industry, Property Management, and Fleet Advertising has provided her with a versatile set of skills. She has always been a Manager but specifically in the Accounting and Customer Service function of a company. She handles all the firm’s accounts, Nelson & Natale’s Lien Negotiations, filings with the courts, and Minor’s Compromises.

Ayra Rios, has been a member of the Nelson & Natale firm and in charge of Medical Records Department since 2017. It’s a detailed job requiring patience and a sharp memory. Her pleasant attitude contributes to each client’s case. Her job entitles retrieving medical records and billing for all of the firm’s clients. Prior to joining the firm, her background focused on Small Business management.

Sara is in charge of our Pre-Litigation department. She has almost instant recall of hundreds of Pre-Litigation cases. Her previous years in the car business has been a major help in her ability to navigate through the challenges of resolving the client’s property damage. Putting together factors of Liability and assisting the Attorney as we establish Liability. Setting up witness statements, inspections and actually attending Restitution Hearings with our clients as we develop the case. She plays an invaluable role in all phases of the pre-litigation process not to mention her major contribution at the pre-litigation level to the entire operation of the firm.

Hana is definitely one of our youngest staff members. While a neophyte, she has a very sage approach to her work. She is fluent in three languages – English, Spanish and Korean. She is currently enrolled in college with a goal of a B.A. in Humanities at Cal State Long Beach. Since the Nelson & Natale Firm is in fact a “Trial” Firm, the Service of Lawsuits is Fundamental to our Law Practice. Hana successfully carries out the functions of that department as well as monitoring the Firms website. Assuming she has any time left after, she will provide case status to our pending clients.

Her memory and organization skills are a significant asset to the firm.
